Any surface on which paints are mixed and used, generally a portable piece of wood. By extension, the term has come to mean the range of colors favored by a particular painter.
In Grafikdateien existiert oft eine Tabelle, in der die Farbwerte der einzelnen Farbnummern kodiert sind. Meist sind hier für jede Farbnummer in drei Bytes die Rot-, Grün- und Blauanteile in Werten von 0 bis 255 festgehalten.
