A form of tuberculosis characterized by swellings of the lymphatic glands; SYN. struma, king's evil.
Tuberculous condition, especially of children, with enlargement of lymphatic glands of neck; king's evil.
Tuberculosis of the lymph glands, especially of the neck, marked by enlargement, abscess formation, and scarring. Treatment is with drugs. Scrofula, which mostly affects children and young adults, is uncommon outside the Third World.
