Materials like aluminum or platinum become magnetized in a magnetic field but it disappears when the field is removed.
Property of a material that, when placed in a magnetic field, is magnetized parallel to the field to an extent proportional to the field; this does not apply at very low temperatures or in extremely large magnetic fields.
