1. Hammer v Dagenhart

imenicapravo (nauka)

US Supreme Court decision 1918 dealing with Congress’s power to regulate labor practices in the manufacture of goods for interstate trade. The father of a child who worked in a North Carolina cotton mill sued the mill for a violation of the Child Labor Law 1916, which prohibited the interstate sale of products of child labor. The Court held that the law was invalid because it regulated local manufacturing under the guise of interstate commerce regulations. US v Darby Lumber Co overturned Hammer.
