(1926-) Italian dramatist. His plays are predominantly political satires combining black humor with slapstick. They include Morte accidentale di un anarchico/Accidental Death of an Anarchist 1970, and Non si paga non si paga/Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay! 1975/1981.
He has also written a one-man show, Mistero buffo 1969, based on the medieval mystery plays; and a handbook on the skills of the comic performer, Tricks of the Trade 1991.
