Množina: Dionysuses
In Greek mythology, the god of wine (son of Semele and Zeus), and also of orgiastic excess. He was attended by women called maenads who were believed to be capable of tearing animals to pieces with their bare hands when under his influence. He was identified with the Roman Bacchus, whose rites were less savage.
