1. Admiral's Cup


Sailing series first held in 1957 and held biennially. National teams consisting of three boats compete over three inshore courses (in the Solent, off the English coast) and two offshore courses (378 km/235 mi across the English Channel from Cherbourg, France to the Isle of Wight; and 1,045 km/650 mi from Plymouth, England to Fastnet lighthouse off Ireland, and back). The highlight is the Fastnet race.
