(c. 1764-1813) Australian Aborigine captured 1789 by Governor Phillip with the aim of exposing him to the benefits of European civilization and installed with his family in a hut in Sydney at what is now Bennelong Point. He was taken to England by Phillip 1792–95 but on his return was unable to fit back into Aboriginal society and eventually was killed in a fight with other Aborigines.
