(1882-1973) French philosopher. Originally a disciple of Henri Bergson, he later became the best-known of the neo-Thomists, applying the methods of Thomas Aquinas to contemporary problems.
Maritain distinguished three types of knowledge: scientific, metaphysical, and mystical. His works include La philosophie bergsonienne/Bergsonian Philosophy 1914 and Introduction ŕ la Philosophie/Introduction to Philosophy 1920. + prikaži više
