2. Specifically, a supporter of the claims of the elder branch of the Bourbon dynasty to the crown of France.
Party in France that continued to support the claims of the house of Bourbon after the revolution of 1830. When the direct line became extinct in 1883, the majority of the party transferred allegiance to the house of Orléans.
