Carnival salesman

(1946-) English playwright whose plays examine the human spirit when it is subjected to dictatorship, whether mental or physical. Among his works are Victory 1982; The Castle 1985; The Last Supper, The Possibilities, and The Bite of the Night, all 1988; Seven Lears 1989; and Hated Nightfall 1993. In 1988 he formed The Wrestling School, a theater company dedicated to the performance of his own work.

(1913-1991) English poet. He is known for his vivid imagery, as in Calamiterror 1937, The True Confessions of George Barker 1950, Collected Poems 1930–50, and the posthumously published Street Ballads 1992.

(1952-) English writer. His Books of Blood 1984–85 are in the sensationalist tradition of horror fiction.
