(1946-) US film actor, director, and screenwriter. At first a bit player, he rocketed to fame as the boxer in Rocky 1976, which won the Oscar for Best Picture, and its sequels. Other films include First Blood 1982 and the subsequent Rambo series from 1985 and the comedy Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot 1992. He wrote the screenplays for all five of the Rocky series, and directed three of them.
