(abbreviation for enhanced graphics array) Computer color display system that is better than CGA (color graphics adapter), providing 16 colors on screen and a resolution of 640 x 350, but not as good as VGA.
Acronym for Enhanced Graphics Adapter. An IBM video display standard introduced in 1984. It emulates the Color/Graphics Adapter (CGA) and the Monochrome Display Adapter (MDA) and provides medium-resolution text and graphics. It was superseded by Video Graphics Display (VGA).
