Spanish golfer who came to prominence 1976 and has won several leading tournaments in the US, including the Masters Tournament 1980 and 1983. He has also won the British Open three times: in 1979, 1984, and 1988.
Born in Pedrena, N Spain, he is one of four golf-playing brothers. He has won more than 60 tournaments worldwide.
