In Yugoslavia the communist partisans under their leader, Tito, played a major role in defeating the Germans.

Borac, učesnik u Narodnooslobodilačkom ratu Jugoslavije. Od pojedinačnih partizanskih odreda, koji su od 19godine poveli nemilosrdan rat protiv svih okupatora i domaćih izdajica, stvorena je Narodnooslobodilačka vojska, koja oslobađa Jugoslaviju i obezbeđuje pobedu nove, narodne vlasti;
