(or Haggadah), Hebrew telling The liturgical narration of the Israelites slavery in Egypt and their liberation by God through Moses, which forms the heart of the Seder meal at the Jewish festival of Pesach (Passover). The story is dramatized by question and answer, and interdispersed with songs, discussion, prayers, and psalms. Aggadah also refers to the book in which the words are written, often richly decorated or illustrated.
