Formerly (1946–92) Titograd; Capital of Montenegro, Yugoslavia; est) 135,000. Industries include metalworking, furniture-making, and tobacco. It was damaged in World War II and after rebuilding was renamed in honor of Marshal Tito; it reverted to its original name with the collapse of communism. It was the birthplace of the Roman emperor Diocletian.
