1. An article in a moderated newsgroup that summarizes multiple posts submitted to the moderator. See also moderator, newsgroup.
2. A message in a mailing list that is sent to subscribers in place of the multiple individual posts that the digest contains. If the mailing list is moderated, the digest may be edited. See also moderated.
