Large breed of hound having a smooth grayish coat; originated in Germany.
Breed of large gundog bred in the German state of Weimar at the end of the 18th century as a pointer. Its smooth coat is a striking silvery gray. It has an athletic build, stands up to 69 cm/27.5 in tall, and its tail is docked.
Weimaraners are unusual in having pale amber or even blue-gray eyes.
