Bruno 1905-1993 American (Italian-born) physicist
(1931-) Italian architect and theorist. He has been strongly influenced by Rationalist thought and by Neo-Classicism. A pioneer of Neo-Rationalism, his main works include the Gallaratese II apartment complex, Milan, 1969–73; the Modena cemetery, 1973; and the floating, demountable theater Teatro del Mondo, Venice, 1979.
Of his 1980s commissions both the Friedrichstadt apartments, Berlin, 1981–87, and the funerary chapel in Guissano, Italy, 1987, are notable.
