(1883-1970) French fashion designer. By 1905 she was designing clothes, and in 1932 set up a boutique specializing in dresses for mature, elegant women. Her L’Air du Temps perfume was sold in Lalique bottles. Her son Robert Ricci (1905–1988) managed the business from 1945.
(1659-1734) Venetian painter. He worked throughout Italy as well as in Vienna. Between 1712 and 1716 he was in London where he painted The Resurrection for the chapel of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea.
Ricci's revival of the Venetian tradition of history painting was so successful that many of his paintings were indistinguishable from those of the Veronese. Ricci's lighter palette paved the way for Tiepolo.
