Adopted name of Myrna Williams (1905-1993)
US film actress, a Hollywood star of the 1930s. A self-confident, independent woman as well as a glamorous comedienne, she brought a new kind of personality to US cinema. She played Nora Charles in the Thin Man series 1934–47 co-starring William Powell. Her other films include The Mask of Fu Manchu 1932 and The Rains Came 1939.
