Acronym for Laser Storage-120. A floppy disk drive developed by Imation Corporation that uses proprietary laser storage 120-megabyte (MB) media as well as standard 1.44 MB 3.5-inch floppy media. The LS-120 disk drive is capable of storing 120 MB of data on a single 3.5-inch floppy disk and is compatible with other floppy disk formats. LS-120 drives are ATAPI (AT Attachment Packet Interface) compliant so several different drives can use the same EIDE controller. Also called: Super Disk.
