She appeared in such films as Morning Glory 1933 (Academy Award), Little Women 1933, Bringing Up Baby 1938, The Philadelphia Story 1940, Woman of the Year 1942 (her first film with her frequent partner Spencer Tracy), The African Queen 1951, Pat and Mike 1952, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner 1967 (Academy Award), Lion in Winter 1968 (Academy Award), and On Golden Pond 1981 (Academy Award). She also had a distinguished stage career.
(Audrey Hepburn-Rushton) (1929-1993) British actress of Anglo-Dutch descent. She often played innocent, childlike characters. Slender and doe-eyed, she set a different style from the more ample women stars of the 1950s. After playing minor parts in British films in the early 1950s, she became a Hollywood star in Roman Holiday 1951, and later starred in such films as Funny Face 1957, My Fair Lady 1964, and Wait Until Dark 1968. Among her later films were Robin and Marian 1976.
