City in Alaska (USA).
Two islands off the tip of the Seward peninsula, Alaska. Little Diomede (6.2 sq km/2.4 sq mi) belongs to the US and is only 3.9 km/2.4 mi from Big Diomede (29.3 sq km/11.3 sq mi), owned by Russia. They were first sighted by the Danish navigator Vitus Bering 1728.
