Japanese aircraft of World War II, principally used by the Navy.
The B7A, known to the Allies as “Grace”, was a torpedo-bomber produced in small numbers. The D3A, known as “Val” was a carrier dive bomber of great strength and efficiency; it was the principal dive bomber used at Pearl Harbor Dec 1941, and sank numerous Allied warships throughout the war. The E13A, “Jake”, was a floatplane used for reconnaissance; it was used in this role to prepare the way for the Pearl Harbor raid, and was carried by almost all Japanese warships.
